KARIMNAGAR, DEC 16. The former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Uma Bharti, visited Vangara, the native village of the former Prime Minister, P.V Narasimha Rao, in Bheemadevarapalli mandal on Thursday. She consoled the bereaved family of a farmer, G. Venkat Reddy, who committed suicide recently in the village. In a brief chat with newsmen in the village, she said farmers' suicide in the former Prime Minister's native village was an insult to the country. She alleged that the former Prime Minister had failed to take up irrigation projects in this upland region of the district. She suggested that the Central and State Governments rise to the occasion and stop the spate of suicide by the farmers and weavers.
