Rs. 77,000 burgled from wine shops

CHENNAI,
DEC. 16.
Burglars struck at two TASMAC outlets in north Chennai and made away with Rs. 77,000.
Police said the burglars lifted the shutters of shop number 623 on Tiruvottiyur High Road, Tondiarpet, and stole Rs. 41,000. The burglars then targeted another TASMAC shop on the same road from which they picked up Rs. 36,000.
Break-in
A house break-in has been reported in the Chengalpattu East Police district. Jewellery weighing 10 sovereigns and Rs. 5,000 in cash were stolen from a house in Banu Nagar, near Avadi on Wednesday.
