CHENNAI, DEC. 16. The sky will be partly cloudy on Friday and the minimum temperature will be around 19 degrees Celsius.

On Thursday, Nungambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 30.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 20.1. The humidity was 78 per cent.

Meenambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 29.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 20.4. The humidity was 83 per cent.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended on Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for maintenance work in parts of MMDA Colony, Kodambakkam, K.K. Nagar South, K.K. Nagar East, Foreshore Estate, Villivakkam, Egmore, Kondithope, Ramapuram, Moovarasampet, Flower Bazaar, Ice House, Ambattur, Kellys, Kilpauk, Sowcarpet East, Sowcarpet West, Government Estate, Mandaveli, Korattur, Gummidipoondi and Thousand Lights areas.

Skin camp

A skin camp for senior citizens will be organised by Senior Citizens Bureau on Saturday at 9 a.m. at Kumaran Hospital, 869, Poonamallee High Road, Kilpauk. Details with V.S. Natarajan, Tel: 2641 2030 and M. Singaraja, Tel: 2823 1388.

Donation

Bharat Overseas Bank donated Rs. 2.5 lakhs to Rotary Club of Madras charitable trust towards renovation of Villivakkam Panchayat Union Primary School, Alapakkam. The funds will be utilised to renovate the school building, toilets and drinking water facilities. The cheque was handed over by G. Krishna Murthy, chairman of the bank, to Benjamin Cherian, district governor, Rotary International.
