Chilly night ahead

Chilly nights are to continue with Friday's minimum temperature likely to be around 12 degrees Celsius while sky will be clear during the day. Temperatures recorded on Thursday were a minimum of 12.9 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 32.1 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity was 23 per cent.

Hindi play to be staged

Sutradhar School of Acting will be presenting Rangadhara's Hindi play "Main Nathuram Godse..." at the Health League grounds opposite Badechowdi police station in Sultan Bazar on December 19 at 7 p.m. Donor passes are available at the venue from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For details contact phones: 9848038353 & 9848607248.

Graduation parade

Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, will host the combined graduation parade of flight cadets trained at the academy and air force stations of Yelahanka (Bangalore), Begumpet and Bidar on December 18. S.K. Malik, Vice-Chief of the Air Staff would review the parade. As many as 125 flight cadets including 35 women cadets will be awarded the President's commission and other prestigious honours, according to a release.

X-mas trees' expo

An exhibition-cum-sale of Christmas tress and other festive products is on at YMCA Secunderabad and Narayanaguda. The exhibition being organised by Good Shepherd group has an imported range of products including Christmas trees from two to eight feet height, fibre optic Christmas trees and other decorative materials like tree top stars, icicles, bells, snowflakes, toys like Santa Claus, snowman, reindeer, Christmas wreaths, mistletoes etc. The exhibition will conclude on December 24.

Symposium for doctors

About 150 doctors from all over the State are expected to attend a one-day symposium on `oculoplastics and aesthetics' being held at the Sarojini Devi Eye hospital here December 18. The Principal Secretary (Health), I.V. Subba Rao will inaugurate the symposium.

Nisiet course

The National Institute of Small Industry Extension Training (Nisiet) is organising a one-month free training entrepreneurship development programme on food processing from January 3 on its campus in Yousufguda. Interested candidates can submit their applications with necessary details to Uday Bhaskar, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Musheerabad, on or before December 20. Selections will be based on the basis of an interview to be held on December 23.

Notice to Haj pilgrims

The Chairman of the A.P. State Haj Committee, Mohd. Ghouse Mohiuddin, has asked Haj pilgrims intending to change their flight timing to contact the Central Haj Committee Booking office in Haj House at Nampally 48 hours prior to their scheduled departure.

Sikhs to hold congregation

The Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha will be organising `Vishal Kirtan Darbar' (mass congregation) between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and `Nagar Keertan' (Holy procession) at 4.30 p.m. at Gurudwara premises in Sitaphalmandi on December 19 on the occasion of the 329th martyrdom of the ninth Sikh guru Teg Bahadhur Saheb.
