BANGALORE, DEC. 16. The Mayor, R. Narayanswamy, on Thursday inaugurated work on the remodelling of primary and secondary drains along the Koramangala Valley in Sudhamanagar. He said the remodelling would strengthen the sidewalls and help rainwater flow easily. In the first phase, over 6.6 km of primary drains and 13.18 km of secondary drains would be remodelled at a cost of Rs 25.5 crores, he said. The MLC, R.V. Devaraj, the area corporator, T.V. Prabhu, the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike Engineer-in-Chief, Rame Gowda, and the Deputy Commissioner (West), Shankar, were present.
