Clear sky forecast

The city recorded a maximum temperature of 28.5 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 14.3 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The relative humidity was 35 per cent.

At the airport, the maximum temperature was 27.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 11.6 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was 34 per cent.

The forecast for Friday is: the sky will be clear and the minimum temperature will be 13 degrees Celsius.

Essay contest

The Bangalore Social Sciences Forum will organise an essay contest on December 23 and a lecture contest on December 27 for college students at National College, Basavanagudi.

One student from each college or its postgraduate department may participate in the essay contest while the limit is five in the case of the lecture contest. Those interested may send entries before December 18 to the convenor, Department of Sociology, National College.
