CHITRADURGA, DEC. 17. A Central team will visit the district to study the drought conditions on Saturday. Prem Naren, Joint Director of Agriculture and Cooperation of the Union Government; Dinesh Chand, adviser on drinking water projects to the Union Government; and A.C. Das, research officer of the Planning Commission, will be part of the team. The team will arrive at Kyadigunte in Challakere taluk on Saturday afternoon and visit various drinking water projects implemented under the Danida project in Parashurampura. The team will also inspect the desilting works at Hirekere of Nayakanahatti in Challakere taluk. On Sunday, the team will inspect development works at Bangarakkanahalli, Hunasekatte, and Turuvanur and proceed to Chikmagalur district via Sanehalli in Hosadurga taluk, according to an official release.
