KRL cricket from today
KOCHI,
DEC. 17.
The 18th KRL all-India cricket tournament begins with the first phase matches at the KRL Oval, Ambalamugal, on Saturday.
The first phase, an all-Kerala affair, is basically a qualifying event for the main phase beginning on December 27.
Fourteen teams will be seen in action in the first phase and the winner progresses to the all-India event.
Five Chennai teams — Good Knight CC, Southern Railway, Eagle CC, Central Excise, State Bank of India — figure in the main phase.
DTDC (Bangalore) and host Kochi Refineries Limited are the other sides in the fray. The tournament concludes on January 3.
