HYDERABAD, DEC. 17. The dramatic turnabout of witnesses in the shootout case involving actor Balakrishna continued with five more persons turning hostile on the third day of trial on Friday. Two servants in the actor's house, Kuppuswamy and Subbalaxmi, a security guard, Rajeshwar Rao and two `panch' witnesses, Feroz Khan and Ravichander, made the volte-face while deposing in the Metropolitan Sessions Judge court here. The two servants told the court that they were in the actor's house till 7.30 p.m. "After completion of work, I left for my house," Kuppuswamy and Subbalaksmi stated one after the other. According to them, the police called them on June 4 and directed to sign some papers. Rajeswara Rao stated that he saw film producer, Bellamkonda Suresh, running out of the house. "He asked me to open the gate and I obliged," he said. Suresh ran out and sat in his car parked outside the house, he said. During interrogation, he told police that he went inside the house after hearing the gunshots and found Suresh and the astrologer with bullet wounds. Feroz Khan and Ravichander stated that they were summoned to the police station and asked to sign blank papers. The three accused in the case, Balakrishna, his wife, Vasundhara and driver, Kanakaiah, attended the court.
