Officials to visit remote villages

By Our Staff Reporter

KURNOOL, DEC. 17. The district administration has constituted eight teams, each comprising 15 officials, to visit 72 remote villages and 23 Chenchu tandas in Kurnool district.

The Joint Collector, Ramsankar Naik, addressed a meeting of officials here on Friday and conducted an orientation for them about the visit.

Mr. Naik said the teams should solve minor issues like roads within the village and drainage problem. A plan had to be prepared for major works. The officials would hold discussions with the village secretary and the sarpanch and identify surplus and other categories of land fit for distribution among the poor.
