ANANTAPUR, DEC. 17. The High Power Committee (HPC) set up by the State Council of Higher Education will conduct a workshop here on December 19, as part of its detailed study over the issue of EAMCET. The chairman of HPC and former Vice-Chancellor of JNTU, P. Dayaratnam, the members -- the former Vice-Chancellor of ANGRAU, I.V. Subba Rao, the former Vice-Chancellor of NTR University of Health Sciences, G. Shamsunder, the former Director of Collegiate Education, T. Venkat Reddy, and the former Principal of St. Francis Degree College, Begumpet, Romana Fernandes -- will interact with various sections of society on the issue and elicit their views. The workshop will be conducted at the Library Hall in SSBN Degree College here. The HPC will meet students, parents, teachers and their organisations from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., student organisations and media from 12.30 p.m. to 1.30 p.m., and professionals, professional bodies, managements and public from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. The HPC had already conducted workshops on the issue at Vijayawada, Warangal and Tirupati.
