Two wicket win for MCD

NEW DELHI, DEC. 17. Half-century by John (68) and good scores by Dharamveer Beniwal (47) and Anil Kumar (44) helped Municipal Corporation of Delhi chase challenging target and beat Central Warehousing Corporation by two wickets in a Super Elite group I match in the DDCA cricket league here.

The scores: Super Elite-I: Central Warehousing Corporation 219 for nine in 40 overs (Yadav 100, Gautam 63, Tiwari four for 23) lost to Municipal Corporation of Delhi 222 for eight in 36.4 overs (John 68, Beniwal 47, Anil 44).

Elite-II: J. N. Golden 145 for nine in 40 overs (Tanwar 42, Parsad four for 23) lost to United Club 147 for three in 37 overs (Malhotra 53, Neeraj 44 not out).

Super Plate-I: City Gymkhana 213 for five in 40 overs (Paramveer 53, Lokesh Khuble 41) bt York Club 173 in 35 overs (Piyush Tiwari four for 39).

Plate: Ministry of Information and Broadcasting 245 for nine in 40 overs (Handa 57, Soni 56, Nayal 47) bt Oriental Bank of Commerce 204 for nine in 40 overs (Thakur 84, Kamal 43).
