BIS recognition for CEPC lab

KOLLAM, DEC. 17. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has recognised the Cashew Export Promotion Council's (CEPC) Laboratory and Technical Division here as the authorised institution for testing packed and bottled mineral water.

The BIS director, P. Mohan, said the formal announcement in this regard would be made early next week. When the announcement comes, the CEPC Laboratory will become the first and only institution in the State authorised by the BIS for testing mineral water.
