KOCHI, DEC. 17. The request for moving special schools to the aided sector cannot be considered at present because of paucity of funds, the Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, has said. He was speaking after presenting awards to special schools and teachers in special schools at the YMCA today. Schemes for the mentally retarded students would be given top priority during the 100-day action plan, he said. E.T. Mohammed Basheer, Minister for Education, presided. Kurian Joseph, Kerala High Court judge, delivered the keynote address and Dominic Presentation, Minister for Sports and Fisheries, was the guest of honour. K.V. Thomas, MLA offered felicitations.
