NEW DELHI, DEC. 17. The Delhi University Executive Council today approved the revised syllabi of discipline and language courses of the restructured B.A. programme. The Council has also approved the revised syllabi of B.A. (Honours) Economics and the M. Sc. Botany courses. The revised courses will be introduced from the next academic year, beginning July 2005. The syllabi of discipline courses in Arabic, English, Hindi, Persian, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Philosophy, Computer Applications, Operations Research, Statistics, Geography, History, Political Science, Sociology and Modern Indian Languages (Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, Oriya, Sindhi, Tamil and Telugu) were approved. Also, the syllabi of language courses in English, Pali (Department of Buddhist Studies), Punjabi, Sanskrit, Urdu and Modern Indian Languages (Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, Oriya, Sindhi, Tamil and Telugu) were also approved. During the meeting, the Council also passed a single Ordinance on the Library System to replace the three existing Ordinances on the subject. An Ordinance to create the Open Leaning Development Centre in the Campus of Open learning was also approved.
