Dalmiya condoles Hazare's demise

KOLKATA, DEC. 18. The Cricket Association of Bengal president, Jagmohan Dalmiya, termed Vijay Hazare as the "real ambassador of the gentleman's game''.

Expressing "profound grief and sorrow'' on the demise of Hazare, Mr. Dalmiya said: "Hazare Sahab was one of the greatest cricketers India has ever produced.''

"I had the opportunity of interacting with Hazare a number of times. To me, he was a man of character, dignity and of profound humility. That was the sign of a great cricketer,'' he said in his message. — Our Sports Reporter
