Jharkhand doctors' services to be regularised

By A Correspondent

RANCHI, DEC. 18. A day after the announcement of dates for the Assembly elections in Jharkhand, the State Cabinet today resolved to regularise the services of doctors whose appointments had been cancelled in the past in the light of a High Court order.

The doctors had been selected by a district-level committee headed by the Deputy Commissioner.

But their services were terminated following the High Court observation against the appointment procedure. Today, the Cabinet decided to constitute a State-level committee to ensure proper appointment of doctors.

The committee will mostly comprise medical experts, the Cabinet Secretary, Aditya Swarup, told presspersons here today.
