NEW DELHI, DEC. 18. Following the success of its Panchakarma hospital launched three years ago, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has decided to set up a 50-bed ayurvedic naturopathy hospital at Rohini in North-West Delhi. Addressing a joint press conference here on Friday along with local BJP MLA, Vijender Kumar Gupta, the Delhi Mayor, A. R. Verma, said the proposed hospital catering to the poor and middle class would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 3 crores. The MCD has purchased 6,073 sq. m. plot from the Delhi Development Authority for Rs. 75 lakhs. Giving details of the project, Mr. Gupta said 15 beds each would be attached to prakriti and kaya chikitsa, while 10 beds would be kept aside for meditation, yoga and panchakarma. Equipped with all modern facilities and equipments, the hospital campus would also have solar photo voltic system for lights and other application for generating energy from herbal, hospital and urban waste.
