Dry weather likely in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI, DEC. 18. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

The minimum temperature fell at one or two places over Karnataka, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were markedly below normal at one or two places over north interior Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, appreciably below normal at one or two places over Telangana, north coastal Tamil Nadu, south Kerala, below normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over Karnataka, Rayalaseema, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Medak and Ramagundam recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until the morning of 20th December 2004): Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Frost Warning: Ground frost is likely to occur at a few places over the hill ranges of Nilgiris district during next two nights.

Outlook For Subsequent Two Days: No significant change.
