NEW DELHI, DEC. 18. Members of Parliament and journalists shared honours at the sports meet organised here today with the politicians walking away with the trophy in kabaddi and scribes picking up the top honours in tug-of-war. In between, a friendly kabaddi match was played in which journalists snatched a victory from the MPs by two points. The Rajya Sabha member and veteran wrestler, Dara Singh, was the referee. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad, the Union Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation, Oscar Fernandes, and the Union Minister of State for Coal, Dasari Narayan Rao participated in the meet.

Among the MPs who took part were Bijendra Singh, Mohan Rawale, Kirip Chaliha, K. S. Manoj, Kuldeep Bishnoi, Naveen Jindal, Jitin Prasada and Pawan Bansal.

Besides correspondents, officials of Parliament Secretariat also turned up.
