Vijay Hazare passes away

VADODARA, DEC. 18. The legendary cricketer and former Indian captain, Vijay Hazare, died in a private hospital here today following a prolonged illness. He was 89 and is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters. He had been on life support systems in the last few days. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has borne his entire medical expenses, family sources said.
