Foggy morning

NEW DELHI DEC. 18. Delhiites will wake up to a foggy morning on Sunday. The sky would be mainly clear and turn partly cloudy towards afternoon/ evening. The minimum temperature is expected to be around 8 degrees Celsius.

While the maximum and minimum temperature at Safdarjung on Saturday was 25.1 degrees Celsius and 9.4 degrees Celsius respectively, at Palam the maximum temperature was 23.8 degrees Celsius and minimum was 10.3 degrees Celsius.

The maximum and minimum humidity at Safdarjung was 97 per cent and 48 per cent respectively, at Palam the humidity was 100 per cent and 51 per cent respectively.

Extortionist held

NEW DELHI DEC. 18. A 21-year-old man has been arrested by the police for allegedly trying to extort money from his former employer.

According to the police, Gulab Singh, resident of New Usmanpur in North-East Delhi, had lodged a complaint saying that a person had been sending him letters and also making telephone calls demanding Rs. 1 lakh or else he would kidnap his son and eliminate his family members.

A trap was laid near Shyam Lal College. The waiting police team apprehended Brijesh as he arrived.
