Woman robbed of cash, mobile
A woman lost Rs. 4,000 and a mobile phone when two motorcycle-borne men snatched her handbag while she was riding a scooter on Road No. 12 Banjara Hills last night. The victim, Mary Fathima, 23, was returning home when the two men came from behind, snatched the bag hanged onto the scooter's front portion and sped away, the Banjara Hills police said.
House burgled
Thieves broke into a house at Old Nallakunta last night and took away saris and jewellery, all worth Rs. 1.5 lakhs.
The house owner, S. Nirmala Reddy, went to Shirdi on a pilgrimage.
On return, she found the lock of the house broken and the property stolen, the Nallakunta police said.
