SHIMOGA, DEC. 19. The Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (Puttannaiah Group) has demanded that water be released into the right and left bank canals of the Bhadra Reservoir from Monday. In a letter to the chairman of the Bhadra Command Area Development Authority, R. Prasannakumar, H.R. Basavarajappa, general secretary of the sangha, has said that water can be released for 106 days for irrigation as 27 tmcft of water is available in the reservoir.
