KOLKATA, DEC. 19. The West Bengal Sports Minister, Subhas Chakraborty, announced an initiative to raise Rs. 10,0000 for the family of deceased Brazilian footballer, Cristiano Junior. Mr. Chakraborty said he hopes to raise the money through a match between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan. "Both the teams have agreed to the idea," he said on Sunday. The Sports Minister also urged the Indian Football Association to donate the proceedings of the first National Football League match between the city giants. Chakraborty also requested the IFA secretary, Subrata Dutta, to urge All India Football Federation to accept the proposal. Our Sports Reporter
