HYDERABAD, DEC. 19. The French hockey team, fresh from its 4-0 win over Mumbai Hockey Association President's XI on Saturday, arrived here for the two-`Test' series against India Juniors. The team, preparing for the European championship, is confident of putting up a better show. Coach B. Reynaud informed that they were trying some new variations in penalty corners and upfront. "We are optimistic that by the end of the tour, the team will gain in experience from playing with the best in India," he said. The players had a look at the Gachibowli hockey complex, the venue of the two `Tests' on December 21 and 23, and were pleased with the facilities. According to Narinderpal Singh, chief coach of India Juniors, the players look settled. "We sincerely wish they translate the talent into performance on the field," he added.
