THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, DEC. 19. More than 300 grapplers will be seen in action when the State senior wrestling championships (men and women) gets underway at the National Club here on Monday. In men's section, competitions will be held in eight weight categories 50kg, 55kg, 60kg, 66kg, 74kg, 84kg, 97kg and 120kg. In women's section, competitions will be conducted in 48kg, 52kg, 55kg, 59kg, 63kg, 69kg and 72kg. Palakkad is the defending champion in men's section while Kottayam is the holder in women's section. The selection for the State team for the senior nationals will be based on performance of the wrestlers in this meet.
