MYCA posts one-wicket win

KOCHI, DEC. 19. MYCA (Mattancherry) edged out Ernakulam CC by one wicket and entered the second round of the first phase of the 18th KRL all-India cricket tournament at the Ambalamugal KRL Oval on Sunday.

In contrast, Tripunithura CC drubbed Scorpions by 134 runs in another first-round encounter.

The scores (first phase): Ernakulam CC 183 in 29.4 overs (Manoj 59, Neerav Shah four for 44, Shiyad four for 38) lost to MYCA, Mattancherry, 184 for nine in 29.5 overs (Suresh 68 n.o., Nikhil Asher 47).

Tripunithura CC 229 for seven in 30 overs (N. Haridas 46, Jayamohan 38, Arun Raj four for 53) bt Scorpions CC, Tripunithura, 95 in 22.3 overs (Saby John four for 14).
