ANANTAPUR, DEC. 19. Three persons belonging to Bangalore were killed in a road accident near Rapthadu village on the NH-7 in the district in the wee hours today. They were returning to Bangalore after attending a meeting in Hyderabad. According to the police, Anantha Rama (35) and Narasimha Rao (32) died on the spot, when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a gas tanker coming in the opposite direction near Pandameru bridge. The car driver-cum-owner, Jagadeeswar Reddy (22), succumbed to multiple injuries in the General Hospital here. Anantha Rama and Narasimha Rao were working for two tractor manufacturing companies and had been to Hyderabad to attend a zonal meeting of tractor manufacturers in a hired car. The mishap occurred on their return journey around 6.30 a.m. today.
