President's XI takes huge first-innings lead

BANGALORE, DEC. 19. Shashindra's 97 helped President's XI gain a 162-run first innings lead over Tumkur Zone in the KSCA inter-zonal under-13 tournament final at the RSI Ground here on Sunday.

President's XI hit up 299 after Tumkur had scored 137. At the second day's close, Tumkur made 16 for no loss in its second innings.

The scores: Tumkur Zone 137 in 75.2 overs and 16 for no loss in four overs vs President's XI 299 in 119 overs (Shashindra 97, Suhas 53, Prithviraj seven for 93).
