CHENNAI, DEC. 19. Wildlife authorities on Saturday rescued 11 snakes from the Aavin's milk processing plant at Sholinganallur on the Old Mamallapuram Road. Wildlife authorities sent snake catchers from headquarters of the wildlife range after they received a request from the Aavin plant authorities to rescue the reptiles, which included three cobras, a Russell's viper, six rat snakes and a vine snake. The reptiles would be released into the nearby reserve forest areas, the authorities said.
