NEW DELHI, DEC. 19. Dense fog, blanketing the northern and the eastern parts of the country, today claimed 22 lives and threw road, rail and air traffic haywire, leaving passengers stranded at many places. Eighteen persons were killed and several injured when the bus in which they were travelling plunged into a ditch in Bihar. The victims were returning to Sahebganj from a temple in Nepal when poor visibility apparently led to the accident. Four persons were killed and 12 injured in two road accidents in Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh .
