NEW DELHI, DEC. 19. Fourteen more scrap containers at the Inland Container Depot (ICD) here at Tughlakabad in South Delhi were sealed on Saturday after the authorities detected explosive-like objects during inspection of one of the containers. A consignment of nine such containers was sealed two days ago after similar items were found in one of them. The ICD officials said these containers were part of the scrap consignments brought to the Tughlakabad depot in September this year, suggesting that when the new rules were laid down for clearance of the imported non-shredded metal scrap, these containers were already in their custody. "We have requested the bomb detection squad of the National Security Guards to scan the consignments for explosives,' said an ICD official.
