Impose tax Sir, - Everyone in the 21st century needs automobiles, directly or indirectly. But the damage that automobiles cause to the environment cannot be allowed further. A new tax must be imposed on all kinds of fuels used by automobiles to compensate for the damage caused to the environment. This tax can be used to build environment friendly rail lines, doubling of rail tracks, hydroelectric projects, for afforestation and introduction of Metro Rail all over India. Antony Mathew Kottayam Diabetics ignored Sir, - It is regrettable that the Indian Railways has not shown any consideration for the plight of diabetic patients and those who want to control sugar levels. Despite its commendable efforts to provide all amenities to the passengers and make travel a pleasure, Railways has ignored tea stalls and refreshment centres where coffee and tea without sugar can be made available. There are many passengers who want their tea and coffee without sugar. The Railways should take immediate steps to redress the problem. P.G. Ipe Kottayam
