Hindu Aikyavedi to organise protest meeting

KOCHI, DEC. 19. The Hindu Aikyavedi will organise a protest meeting of Hindu organisations in the city on December 28 against the approach of the Tamil Nadu Government in handling the case involving the Kanchi Sankaracharya, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi.

In a State-level meeting here, it was decided that the State conference of the organisation would be held at Chalakudi on March 12 and 13.

The meeting, presided over by Aikyavedi State president J. Sisupalan, discussed issues such as the sale of land at Marine Drive by the Greater Cochin Development Authority to Wakf Board at a price lower than what prevailed in the market.
