KOCHI, DEC. 19. Management Association of Colleges in Kerala has said that it would not give in to the demand by students unions that the present system of election be retained for colleges. Management Association president T.O. Abdulla said at a press meet here today that although Kerala University and four union chairmen from the universities in Kerala had approached the Supreme Court against the High Court verdict, they had not got a stay. Despite this, Kerala and M. G. Universities had issued schedules for holding elections in the present pattern. Mr. Abdulla also warned that attempts by college unions to resort to strong-arm tactics will be resisted.
