LONDON, DEC. 20. The police today met representatives of the Sikh community who attacked a theatre in protest against a play that depicts sexual abuse and murder in a Sikh temple. Three men were arrested on Saturday when 400 Sikhs stormed the Birmingham Repertory Theatre in central England to prevent a performance of "Behzti,'' by the Sikh playwright Gurpreet Kaur Bhatti, which they claim mocks their religion. Saturday evening's performance was cancelled. Sikh leaders argue that the play is deeply hurtful. ``In a Sikh temple, sexual abuse does not take place, kissing and dancing don't take place, rape doesn't take place, homosexual activity doesn't take place, murders do not take place,'' Sewa Singh Mandha, chairman of the Council of Sikh Gurdwaras in Birmingham told the British Broadcasting Corp. radio.
