CHENNAI, DEC. 20. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka, fell at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, rose at a few places over Telangana, at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were markedly below normal at one or two places over north interior Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka, appreciably below normal at a few places over coastal Karnataka, at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu, south Kerala, Telangana, Rayalaseema, below normal at many places over rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over rest south Kerala, rest Rayalaseema, above normal at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 9 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Wednesday morning): Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Frost Warning: Ground frost is likely to occur at a few places over hill ranges of Nilgiris District during next two nights.

Farmers Weather Bulletin For Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (Valid until Wednesday morning): Mainly sunny weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Outlook For Subsequent Two Days: No significant change.
