Letters to the Editor
Sir, Any legislation to protect the right to strike will only benefit government employees who are concerned more about their rights than about their responsibilities. Disciplinary action cannot be taken against the erring and corrupt employees as they have the backing of a strong union. The common man will suffer the most. We will have more strikes and bandhs for frequent pay revisions and other unreasonable demands and the government will have to concede the demands due to political pressures. Our representatives in Parliament should consider these points, cutting across partylines.
V. Subramanian,
