Treasurer quits

MUMBAI, DEC. 20. Amitabh Jhunjhunwala resigned from the post of Treasurer of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), which is headed by Mukesh Ambani. Mr. Jhunjhunwala is considered close to the younger brother, Anil Ambani.

Mr. Jhunjhunwala was a nominee of RIL on the board of Reliance Energy's and he was one of the six directors who had resigned last month from the REL board. When contacted RIL spokesperson declined to comment.
