SYDNEY, DEC. 20. After his devastating bowling against Pakistan on Sunday, Australian pace bowler Glenn McGrath believes that his chances of taking part in the 2007 World Cup are very bright. Though is immediate ambition is to be the second fast bowler to cross the 500 Test wicket mark the first being West Indian Courtney Walsh with 519 McGrath revealed that playing in the 2007 World Cup was a very real possibility. ``At the moment 500 Test wickets is a pretty big goal of mine,'' McGrath said. ``For any bowler to achieve that is a pretty fair effort. That's the one I'm aiming for, then I'll re-set [my goals] from there. ``While I'm still enjoying it and we're playing well, there's a lot to play for,'' The Courier Mail quoted McGrath, 34, as saying after his return of eight for 24 against Pakistan in the Perth Test on Sunday. It was his best haul in Test cricket and hoisted his overall wicket tally to 471. It was also the first time McGrath had taken five wickets in an innings in Perth. ANI
