Thiruvananthapuram men, Kottayam women dominate

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, DEC. 20. Thiruvananthapuram men and Kottayam women dominated the proceedings on the opening day of the State senior wrestling championships at the National Club here on Monday.

However, bouts in many of the weight categories were lopsided with favourites winning without breaking a sweat. Anil Vassan of Thiruvananthapuram was one of the day's prominent winners as he floored his rival Sivakumar in 30 seconds in the 60kg division.
