Clear skies

CHENNAI, DEC. 20. The skies will be mainly clear on Tuesday. The minimum temperature will be around 19 degrees Celsius. On Monday, Nungambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 30.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 18.9. The humidity was 78 per cent. Meenambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 30.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 18.6. The humidity was 82 per cent.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended in some parts of Porur, Avadi and Ayapakkam from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Live telecast

Doordashan Kendra, Chennai, will telecast live on Podhigai channel the `swarga vaasal Thirappu' of Sri Parthasarathyswamy temple, Triplicane (4 to 6 a.m) on Wednesday, on `Vaikunta Ekadasi.'

Anniversary

The Ramanujan Museum and Math Education Centre will celebrate the 118th birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan at Avvai Academy in Royapuram on Thursday. Professor Antony Raj, a reader in Mathematics at Presidency College, will speak. For details contact the academy at 044-25960877.
