Fog again

NEW DELHI DEC. 20. Delhiites would wake up to a misty and foggy morning on Tuesday, the weatherman has said. The sky would be partly cloudy and there is a possibility of thundery development in some areas. The minimum temperature is likely to hover around 9 degrees Celsius.

The maximum and the minimum temperatures recorded at Safdarjung on Monday were 19.5 and 9.3 degrees Celsius respectively, at Palam it were 19.8 and 13.4 degrees Celsius respectively.

The maximum and the minimum humidity at Safdarjung was 93 per cent and 62 per cent respectively; at Palam it was 95 per cent and 37 per cent respectively.

Held for assault

NEW DELHI DEC. 20. An MCD employee has been arrested on the charge of criminally assaulting a Class II student of a municipal primary school at Samaipur Badli in North-West Delhi earlier this month.

The incident came to light on December 9 when the victim complained of stomachache and narrated the whole incident to her parents. They reported the matter to the police who arrested the accused. Further investigations are on.

Arrested for robbery

NEW DELHI DEC. 20. Four persons, who were allegedly involved in robbery cases, were arrested by the Special Staff of the North-West Delhi police this Sunday. The police recovered Rs. 1.10 lakh of stolen money, a country-made firearm and two vehicles from their possession.

According to the police, the first accused, Vijay, was arrested from Shalimar Bagh when he was moving on a motorcycle. The police recovered a country-made pistol and a live cartridge from his possession.

During interrogation, Vijay disclosed that he along with his accomplices had committed two robberies at Adarsh Nagar and Jahangirpuri. At his instance, the police arrested the other gang members, Ram Janam Pandey, Manoj Gupta and Sanjay, from whom they recovered a part of the stolen amount.
