Ground frost likely in Nilgiris district

CHENNAI, DEC. 21. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

The minimum temperature fell at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, interior Tamil Nadu, rose appreciably at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, rose at one or two places over Telangana and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were markedly below normal at one or two places over north interior Tamil Nadu, appreciably below normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka, at one or two places over rest south interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, below normal at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, rest Rayalaseema, above normal at a few places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 10 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Thursday morning): Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Frost Warning: Ground frost is likely to occur at a few places over the hill ranges of Nilgiris District during next two nights.

Farmers Weather Bulletin For Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (Valid until Thursday morning): Mainly sunny weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Outlook For Subsequent Two Days: No significant change.
