Four factionalists held, explosives seized

By Our Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR, DEC. 21. In their drive against the activities of factionists, the Tadipatri sub-division police today arrested four persons, of two rival factional groups, and seized a SBBL gun and 19 countrymade bombs from their possession.

Giving the details to newspersons today, the Tadipatri DSP, M. Ravi Prakash, stated that a police team led by Tadipatri Rural CI, J. Mallikarjuna Varma, and the Yellanur SI, Sivanarayana Swamy, arrested Shankar Naidu and Chinna Naidu of one group and Narendra Naidu and Dudekula Masthan of another group at Vasapuram in Yellanur mandal today.

While the SBBL gun and eight bombs were seized from the Shankar Naidu group, 11 bombs were seized from the Narendra Naidu group. The Narendra Naidu group had prepared the bombs to attack Bhaskar Reddy and others after their release on bail from jail to avenge the killing of his brother, Kedar Naidu, in Anantapur in September this year.
