Sri Ram triumphs

HYDERABAD, DEC. 21. R. Sri Ram of Railway Mixed School won the title by chalking up five points in five rounds, in the 42nd Sunday Chess tournament organised by the Chess Academy of AP at the Railway Institute here on Sunday.

The results:

Fifth round: R. Sri Ram (5) bt H. Ananth (4), Ch.Y. Sree Ram (4) bt Sudarshan Reddy (3), A. Vikas Reddy (4) bt T. Sumath Kumar (3), Mrudul Kumar (4) bt K. Vijay Bhargav (3), D. Radha Krishna (3) bt P. Vijay Simha (2).

Age group prize winners: Boys: U-7: D. Radhakrishna and Y. Sai Akshay (joint winners); U-9: Mrudul Kmar; U-11: T. Sumanth Kumar and Ruthvi (joint winners); U-13: H. Ananth and A. Vikas Reddy; U-15: Ch.Y. Sree Ram; 20: R. Dinakar. Girls: U-7: K.V.R.L. Swetha; U-9: Y. Roopali Kiron; U-11: Sruthi Krishna.

Special prize winners: K. Vijay Bhargav, V. Sai Sreedeep, Rushab Jain, V.H. Sasank, P. Vijay Simha.
