BANGALORE, DEC. 21. A software engineer's wife was found hanging from the roof of her house at Bommasandra in Madiwala Police Station limits on Tuesday morning. The police identified her as Shivajyothi (23). She married Anand one-and-a-half years ago and had a five-month-old baby. She had committed suicide, the reason for which is not known, the police said.
Body found
The Peenya police have found the burnt body of a youth aged about 25 near Idgah Maidan in T. Dasarahalli on Sunday night. The police said the youth was strangled to death and the body burnt by using petrol. The police suspect the involvement of a few local persons in the murder.
Sentenced
The 10th Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge, Basavaraj S. Aithal, has sentenced Manjunath to five years' rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 100 on charges of assault and verbal abuse of Venkatesh.
