Suicide bid

MADURAI, DEC.21. A woman constable, V. Chinnapidari (20), attached to the VI Battalion of the Tamil Nadu Special Police here allegedly attempted to commit suicide at her quarters on Monday night.

According to the police, the victim consumed glass pieces and was admitted to the Government Rajaji Hospital. The reason behind the suicide attempt was not known, as she did not regain consciousness till this evening.
