Humidity falls

Gannavaram airport recorded a maximum temperature of 29.0 degree Celsius and minimum of 17.5 degree Celsius on Tuesday. Humidity, which recorded 88 per cent in the morning fell to 64 per cent in the evening.

No power supply

Power will be shutdown from 8 a.m. to 12 noon in LIC Colony, Jayaprakashnagar, Ashoknagar, Bank Colony, Ramachandranagar and Christhurajapuram on Wednesday.

Commodity prices

The following were the prices (in rupees per kg) of essential commodities in the local wholesale market on Tuesday: groundnut oil - 50, palmolein oil - 39.75 sunflower oil - 52.50, tamarind (flower variety) - 35 to 42, tamarind (karipuli variety) - 45 to 54, chilli (refrigerated) - 20 to 27, chilli - 12 to14, rice (2716) - 12, rice superfine (samba masoori) 13 to 14, rice sona masoori - 15 to 16, black gram (pottu minapappu) - 20.80 to 24.50, red gram (kandipappu) - 23, red gram (Nagpur) 28.

Death anniversary

Several Ministers and Congress MLAs will participate in the 16th death anniversary of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram at 10.30 a.m. on December 26.

Insurance policies will be given to 600 autorickshaw drivers at the meeting. A public meeting will be held at Avanigadda at 4 p.m.
